Day 01: Huaraz – Hualcayan – Calamina (4200m/13776ft)

After breakfast in the hotel. Start the expedition Trekking Cedros Climbing Alpamayo. we will take our private bus to the Callejón de Huaylas on the north side of Huaraz. We will travel through the districts of: Carhuas (2650m/8692ft), Yungay (2500m/8200ft), and Caraz City (2400m/7872ft). We will arrive around 11:00am to our destination, Hualcayan. Our donkey drivers will be waiting for us to carry our camping equipments, and therefore make our backpacks very light. From the trailhead we will ascend for about 4 – 5 hours and then break for lunch on the way, overnight camping at (4200m/13776ft).

Day 02: Calamina – Cullicocha pass (4850m/15908ft) – Osoruri

This day after breakfast in Calamina around 07:00hours we will start climb up to Cullicocha pass at (4850m/15908ft) for about 4 hours going up, so there we will visit 2 nice lakes called Cullicocha and yanacocha, after this pass we will start descend to Osoruri our seccond camp, along this trekking we will enjoy the nice views of different peaks like Macizo de Santa Cruz, Champara, etc, lunch on the way, arriving to our camp after 1 hour and half descend, camping over (4560m/14952ft).

Day 03: Osoruri – Jatunvientona pass (4750m/15580ft) – Ruinapampa – Jancarurish

This day we will have early breakfast and then we will start descend to Ruinapampa for about 2 hours, after that we will start going up to Jancarurish for about 2 more hours, where is the Alpamayo Base Camp, lunch on the way or possible on the Camp, free afternoon to walk around the camp and take pictures; Dinner and overnight camping at (4300m/14104ft).

Day 04: Jancarurish (Alpamayo Base Camp) – res day

This day we will have late breakfast, after that around 09:00 hours our porters will pack some climbing gears and carrying up to the Moraine Camp, also with the clients if they want to go, there we will enjoy the amazing climbing face of Alpamayo to take pictures; after that the clients will go down for early hot drinks, dinner and overnight. this part end of the trekking Cedros from here start Climbing Alpamayo.

Day 05: Jancarurish – climb up to the Moraine Camp (4850m/15908ft)

Late breakfast, around 09:00 am in trek Cedros we will start climbing to the Moraine Camp of the Alpamayo for about 4 hours carrying our climbing gears and all logistics, arriving to the Moraine Camp we will have hot drinks and free afternoon to walk around the Camp and enjoy the sunset of Alpamayo, dinner and overnight at (4850m/15908ft).

Day 06: Moraine Camp – climb up to the Camp 1

Early breakfast in the Moraine Camp of Alpamayo, then we will pack everything to start climb to the Camp 1, we will use our personal and collective climbing gears to climb over the snow, during this climb we will enjoy the splendid views of different peaks like Santa Cruz, Quitaraju, Champara, in special the most beautiful mountain in the world ALPAMAYO, arriving to the Camp 1 after 5 hours climb, hot drinks, dinner and overnight  (5300m/17384ft).

Day 07: Camp 1 – climb up Alpamayo summit (5947m/19506ft) – Camp 1

This day breakfast will be at 2 or 3 am in the morning, and we will start climbing using head lamps, and after 1 hour approx walking in the snow we will get the base of the wall (French route) the inclination is approx. 75º, then we will start climbing the wall, and after 2 or 3 hours climbing we will succeed the summit (5947m/19506ft), where we will have impressionist white mountain peaks. And after to enjoy for a few minutes we will come dawn rappelling with the help of our guide, arriving to the camp place at 11 or 12 am and just for lunch, and rest in the afternoon, overnight in the glacier at (5300m/17384ft).

Day 08: Camp 1 – open down to the Base Camp of Arhueycocha in Santa Cruz valley

After breakfast in the Camp 1, we will take the same route to go back to the Moraine Camp, then we will continue go down to the Base Camp, arriving to the Base Camp around 3:00pm. Overnight camping in the Base Camp.

Day 09: Base Camp – back to Huaraz

This day we will come back walking down hill along the Santa Cruz valley enjoying the nice view of Jatuncocha and Ichiccocha Lake, in Cashapampa where the transfer will be waiting for us and will have a last stop for lunch after lunch we will aboard our private transfer to return Huaraz, for about 3 hors half, arriving to Huaraz around 4 to 5:00pm.
